Real Estate SpecialtiesThe four primary specialty areas of local real estate are the International Council, the Commercial Investment Division, the Sarasota Young Realtors(R), and the Green Realtors® Alliance of Sarasota. These groups are open to membership from SAR members and Affiliates. At present, only the Commercial Investment Division charges an annual fee ($50). International Real EstateThe International Real Estate Council (IREC) is made up of members of the Association who realize that we live in a global economy and that working with international clients is a daily part of the real estate business. They understand the importance of being educated and informed about the issues that impact foreign buyers and sellers. We encourage our members and affiliate members to work together to build "teams" of experts to professionally assist with all aspects of these transactions. The IREC provides education and business building opportunities. Commercial Real EstateThe Commercial Investment Division (CID) of the Sarasota Association of Realtors®, Inc., is a special interest organization affiliated with the Association. CID provides its members an important opportunity for gaining extra professional knowledge and currency in the marketing of commercial and investment properties in the Florida marketplace. Young Realtors®The mission of the Sarasota Young Realtors® is to support and advocate the interest of the young Sarasota real estate professionals. The Sarasota Young Realtors® is an organization of advocacy that utilizes the strengths, talents, and leadership of its members to build value and lasting relationships with our community through professional development, networking and sharing of information. Social events are open to all ages, and SYR meetings are open to SAR members age 40 and under. Green Realtors®The mission of the Green Realtors® Alliance of Sarasota is to be a resource for the preservation of our environment and natural resources as it pertains to real estate. The premise of the group is that being a good steward of the environment and the community is good for real estate and future development. The trend in Sarasota and around the country is towards "green" practices in new construction, retrofitting, and environmental care. |
