Commercial Real Estate

The Commercial Investment Division (CID) of the Sarasota Association of Realtors®, Inc., is a special interest organization affiliated with the Association. CID provides its members an important opportunity for gaining extra professional knowledge and currency in the marketing of commercial and investment properties in the Florida marketplace.

CID members meet monthly to inform each other on the market data, new listings, and the wants and needs of prospects. Meetings include program presentations by qualified specialists providing overviews or updates on relevant topics of professional interest.

CID generally meets the third Tuesday of the month in the auditorium of the Sarasota Association of Realtors®, Inc. Education Center. Refreshments and networking begin at 8 a.m. and the program is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Exceptions to the regular meeting date and time occur in September and December. Meeting notices are e-mailed monthly to members.

CID annual dues are $50. Dues help support the educational, marketing, public interest and social programs of the organization. There are currently more than 350 members.

CID members must hold current membership as a Realtor®, Affiliate or Auxiliary Affiliate member in SAR or in another Board/Association of Realtors®.

CID Mission Statement

To be the leading Commercial Realtor® Association in our marketplace by promoting professionalism to our membership through education, communications and business development.

CID Objectives

-To unite those engaged in commercial-investment activities of the real estate profession for the purpose of exerting a beneficial influence on matters affecting the profession and related interests.

-To promote and stimulate commercial-investment real estate business activity among CID members.

-To provide CID members the opportunity to better serve the public through formal and informal education in commercial-investment real estate on a continuing bases.
